Blue Marbles Project
Nets of Wonder were initially designed in 2016 by Charis Lyons of Blue Shark Diva Designs as a collaboration with the Blue Marbles Project, a movement created by Marine Biologist, Wallace J. Nichols, author of New York Times bestseller, "Blue Mind: The Surprising Science That Shows How Being Near, In, On, or Under Water Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do".
The Blue Marbles Project has set out to pass a blue marble through every (yes, every) person's hand on earth, with a simple message of gratitude along with it. It's a low-tech slow-motion global art project and a clear reminder that everything we do on this water planet matters.
Nets of Wonder has expanded that idea to include a variety of marbles, colors and materials to reflect the rich diversity our wild waterways offer. Join us in celebrating our human connection to water and its many physical, psychological and spiritual benefits.
So, the "rules" remain pure and simple.
1. The marble must be blue (any shade, and preferably made of recycled glass).
2. When you get one, give it away to someone as a token of gratitude (whenever and wherever you like).
3. Share your story with the world (however you like).
